When Sydney and Daniel told me they were planning a Gatsby/1920s styled wedding I was instantly excited. Not surprisingly, their execution of that idea was excellent – a day filled with Sydney’s killer hairstyle, broaches galore, antique table decorations, and more. Of course, a day that looks excellent would be nothing without also being abundantly filled with love. Fear not, there was plenty of love to go around!
The first look is always a beautiful experience to witness and I feel honored to be able to experience such a powerful moment that the couple has. The anticipation, fear, excitement, nervousness, etc all faded away when Sydney and Daniel laid eyes on one another. The love between them was so wildly evident and it was such a joy watching them interact throughout the entire day. The first look with Sydney and her father was another beautiful moment to see, he had some of his own nervousness beforehand and you could see the pride beaming from his face when he saw his daughter in her wedding dress.
Sydney and Daniel did one of my absolute favorite things – they wrote their own vows for one another. Writing your own vows is an incredibly personal and difficult thing to do (especially reading them on the day of) but the memory of that moment as well as being able to share your heart with your (very) soon to be spouse is worth it!
I’ve been working with Sydney and Daniel since I took their engagement photos around 2 years ago until now and it has been a pleasure and a joy. They are two people of whom I have no doubts that they will lead long and fulfilling lives together, filled with love and laughter. My deepest congratulations and well-wishes for you both!
