This wedding was my first intimate ceremony caused by Covid-19 and despite the unfortunate circumstances, it was such a beautiful and meaningful evening. Kaitlyn and Josh are two of the most easy-going people I’ve worked with and they were (or at least appeared) so relaxed the entire time. They were very intentional about the event to ensure everyone was able to stay safe but also to cherish the reason they were coming together. As it tends to go, the day that we gathered together happened to have a heat index of ~105 degrees with very high humidity. These two were unphased and still were so obviously excited and happy to just be in the presence of one another.
If you look through the photos below you’ll notice a stunning shawl that Kaitlyn wore during the ceremony. The most impressive part is that Kaitlyn created that herself! One of her favorite hobbies is knitting and I love that she incorporated that passion into such an important day. The venue was also such a beautiful and ideal location due to how important nature and being outdoors is to both Kaitlyn and Josh. The Lyndale Park Peace Garden is one of the hidden gems of the Twin Cities for weddings, especially now that it is much easier to get a permit there for low-impact weddings!
I truly wish that Kaitlyn and Josh were able to have the wedding they had originally planned, but I also believe this was an incredible and meaningful ceremony that they nor their loved ones in attendance will ever forget. Congratulations to you both and best wishes for many years to come!
